Treat Tuesday-Vanilla-Buttermilk Tarts

If you need a dessert that a looks fancy but only takes a few ingredients and can be made in a flash (along with a little chilling time), these Vanilla-Buttermilk Tarts are what you need!

Eggs, Flour, Sugar, Buttermilk, and Vanilla make the creamy custard that is the filling for the mini tarts.

Start with one and a half cups buttermilk.

Add it to a large saucepan with the flour, sugar, and eggs.

Then whisk all the ingredients together and heat until the mixture begins to thicken.

Remove the custard from the stove and stir in the vanilla.

Finally, transfer the mixture to a bowl and take a sheet of plastic wrap and gently press it onto the custard, covering it completely and chill.

Bake the mini tarts. You can usually find these in the frozen section of the grocery store near the regular sized pie crust.

Once the tart crust has cooled, fill with the vanilla-buttermilk custard.
