Treat Tuesday-Grilled Chocolate Brownies
Happy July 1! It’s almost Independence Day and as I toyed with Treat Tuesday this week, I thought I could do a cobbler, or an apple pie, or even flag cookies. But what is more American than grilling?!
I started with some cocoa that was sifted until it was a fine powder.
Once I had the batter finished and poured in a pan, I took tablespoons of creamy peanut butter and dotted the top.
Then using a wooden skewer, I carefully swirled the peanut butter into the batter. (don’t forget to lick the bowl)
Now here is the fun part, place the pan in the center of the grill. The middle burner should be turned off with the two side ones on medium so the heat is close to 350 degrees.
Check after 15 minutes as they cook pretty quickly (my first time out I made charcoal instead of brownies…)
Ta-Da…You have a wonderfully, light, cakey brownie. Toss some ice cream on top and your 4th will light up.
Kaboom!
