Treat Tuesday-Chocolate Coffee-Chocolate Chip Cupcakes
These are a true chocoholics dream and they are super easy to make. The key ingredients are chocolate, chocolate chips, and coffee!
First the batter begins with flour, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda.
Sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla make the second part of the batter.
The flour mixture is then added to the sugar mixture alternating with a fresh pot of coffee.
As you can imagine, at this point the batter smells amazing!
The batter is poured into a muffin pan lined with paper baking cups. I add the chocolate chips by hand so that they are evenly distributed among all the cupcakes.
After I drop them in, I push a few down deep into the batter using a toothpick so you get a chip in every bite!
Once they cool, it’s time for the frosting. The best frosting for these, a jar of hot fudge sauce! When the fudge is at room temperature it is super easy to spread.
Seriously…hot fudge…
