Treat Tuesday-Bittersweet Decadence Cookies
The title of these cookies is spot on. If you love chocolate and you love your cookie a little on the gooey side, this is the recipe you need to make now. I love chocolate and I am particularly partial to dark, bittersweet chocolate and using a bittersweet bar elevates these cookies to truffle status in my opinion. These cookies will make you smile!
Start with a bar of really good bittersweet chocolate. I love to use Divine chocolate.
Add it to a simmering double boiler with some butter and melt completely.
Next combine eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
Place those ingredients over a double boiler and heat just until warm.
Add to the slightly cooled chocolate.
Then stir in the flour mixture.
Next some large chocolate chips or chocolate chunks.
Once combined, drop by large tablespoonfuls onto the cookie sheet. This is a wet, soft dough but it bakes into the most perfect cookie.
Let cool and enjoy with a cold glass of milk or a mug of hot cocoa.
It’s like, cookie, cake, and candy all in one. The chocolate just melts as you take each bite. (I may have had to personally sacrifice a cookie to get this photo…) These are guaranteed to make your Tuesday a lot better!
