Treat Tuesday-Belgian Spice Cookies
My favorite part of the holiday season, filling my cookies jar with treats I grew up on, as well as trying new recipes. This was a new one for me that I had been excited to try.
The dough starts with some flour mixed with pumpkin pie spice.
These cookies use Turbinado sugar which is raw cane sugar.
Turbinado sugar mixed with brown sugar and softened butter.
The flour and spices are added to complete the dough.
Next, roll the dough into a log. It is easy to do this while the dough is wrapped in plastic wrap.
After chilling for several hours, the dough will slice easily into cookies.
Slide the pan into the oven and the smell of Christmas will start filling up your kitchen!
Once they have cooled, you can decorate them with powdered sugar mixed with a little more pumpkin pie spice. I used the discs from my cookie press to make my designs.
Santa is going to stop by for some of these!
