Wine of the Week-The Arsonist Red Blend
So I haven’t come across anything special worth sharing in recent weeks, but that is about to change as I have found some new gems. I really think there is something to a wine label. How in the world could you pass this up as you cruise down the wine aisle?! And it lives up to it’s label…it is currently my new favorite and I keep buying bottles of it. It’s a bold red (steak, burgers) that has nice tannins and a beautiful deep red color. The blend comes from Petit Verdot (more on this in a minute), Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. So I had to look up Petit Verdot and it is a red wine grape primarily used in Bordeaux wine…my very favorite on the high end of the price list…so to mix this grape with cab and merlot, makes The Arsonist a fantastic bottle of red! This 2012 blend comes from California. The Arsonist also is offered in a Chardonnay. I’ll keep you posted.
