Wine of the Week-L’Oliveto Chardonnay

I drank this wine with a friend the other night and it was perfect on it’s own.  It is light, smooth, and easy to drink.

This bottle was a 2013 from Sonoma County, again the Russian River Valley, which in my opinion churns out great wines.  This wine is made in French oak barrels but it does not have a strong oak flavor (not that I mind an oaky flavor).

One day I am going to go to the wine country and see first hand how my favorites are made.  Until then, I’ll keep wine tasting from home!
