Wine of the Week-The Sum Red Wine

Happy Halloween! Are you looking for a great red to serve with your spooky chili tonight? Then pick up a bottle of The Sum from The Seventy Five Wine Company. This is a 2012 red wine from St. Helena, California that has a slight smokey flavor but it is not too heavy to overpower your meal. The back of the label is a must read, it starts out: ’75 The Year That Was. As you read further down the label it says, “Tiger Wood appears, Jimmy Hoffa disappears, Jack Nicklaus takes home the green jacket. The Reds defeat the Red Sox in seven games. Muhammad Ali wins the Thrilla in Manila.” Buy this wine and read the rest of the story, it’s great.

Personally, I was not drinking wine yet. I was 9 years old. For Halloween I was witch and my sister was a tiger, complete with plastic masks with the elastic string that went around the back of our heads. While I may or may not don a costume this year, I will be drinking wine. Cheers!
