Wine of the Week-DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon
This bottle of DAOU, is their twenty dollar cab. DAOU makes some higher end wines that are excellent, but for the value this is a really great everyday Cabernet.
The 2021 DAOU is from Paso Robles and is a fruity red with hints of smokiness. The primary grape is Cabernet Sauvignon but it is blended with Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. It is wonderfully full bodied and pairs well with steak or chili.
With the holidays coming up, this is a great wine to take as a hostess gift or have on hand for holiday parties.
