Treat Tuesday-Molasses Spice Cookies

Meet the cookie that is the perfect amount of chewy to crunchy! These molasses cookies are filled with great spices that evoke that wonderful season of Thanksgiving. The dough comes together quickly and only has to chill for 15 minutes before you can roll them out and bake them. A perfect treat after the turkey if anyone is too full for pie!

Start by cubing the butter so that it will melt evenly in a saucepan.

Once the butter has melted add in the molasses and vanilla.

Next mix together the flour, sugar, and spices.

Lightly beat one egg.

Finally, add the flour mixture and egg to the melted butter and stir just until combined.

Form the dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar.

Bake just until done. The cookies will flatten as they cool. Make these the day before turkey day and put out on a fun platter for your guest to help themselves!!
