Treat Tuesday-Apple Cider-Doughnut Cake

This cake! It tastes like you went apple picking and stopped at the stand to get an apple cider cake doughnut, but in actual cake form!! It is super easy to make, smells delicious when baking and if you want apple flavor without having to peel, cut, and core apples this is quite possibly the perfect recipe!

Start by beating the sugars and butter in a mixer until light and fluffy.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Next add apple cider and applesauce alternately with the flour mixture. (those that know me, understand the significance of this particular brand of cider…not surprisingly it is great…ha!)

Spread the batter into a prepared bundt pan.

Bake until golden brown.

Let cool for 10 minutes then invert the cake onto a wire rack.

Now for the best part! Mix together granulated sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Brushed melted butter on the outside of the cake. Finally, sprinkle the spice-sugar mixture all over the exterior of the cake, pressing it gently to ensure the entire cake is covered.

This is your new brunch cake!!
