Snowball Cookies
This recipe screams holiday time! Another favorite from my childhood that would always be in our Christmas cookie jar during the month of December.Plan Ahead Note: the butter needs to be softened to room temperature and the dough needs to be refrigerated for one hour.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla at medium speed of an electric mixer.
- Add flour and salt until combined.
- Chill dough for one hour.
- Roll into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
- Roll in powdered sugar twice, let cool. Roll once more.
