Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies
These cookies are a great after school snack. If you don't have time house a pastry bag to pipe the frosting, grab a spoon and drizzle over each cookie. Place wax paper under your cookie rack and clean up will be a snap.
Ingredients
Cookies
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 Tablespoons butter softened
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
Peanut Butter Icing
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 Tablespoon whipping cream
- 3 Tablespoons peanut butter
Chocolate Icing
- ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- 1 ½ Tablespoons milk
- 1 Tablespoon whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa sifted
Instructions
Cookies
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Combine sugar, peanut butter, and butter in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes.
- Add milk. Mix well.
- Add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until well blended.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a silicone mat on a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for 11 minutes.
- Let stand on pan for one minute, then remove to wire rack to cool. Frost with peanut butter icing and chocolate icing.
To Make Peanut Butter Icing
- Whisk and place in pastry bag to pipe on cookies.
To Make Chocolate Icing
- Melt chocolate chips over low heat. Whisk in remaining ingredients, place in pastry bag to pipe on cookies.
