Barbecue Turkey Meatballs
Serve these with mashed potatoes. They are super easy to make and the bbq flavor is a nice twist on the traditional meatball.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 ½ Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 14.5oz. can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 ½ lbs. lean ground turkey
- 3 Tablespoons Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Place brown sugar, vinegar, cumin, paprika, cloves, and tomatoes in a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Combine turkey, breadcrumbs, and chili powder in a large bowl, add tomato mixture just until the turkey can be shaped into meatballs, about ½-¾ cup.
- Shape into small balls and place on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray.
- Bake at 400° for 15 minutes or until done.
- Heat remaining tomato mixture on the stove to pour over the meatballs and potatoes or use your favorite barbecue sauce over the top.
