Treat Tuesday-Apple Cake
I am probably the only one who got excited when the weatherman used the words “Polar Vortex” to describe this week! I just can’t help it. After a long, hot summer it is so nice to have the whispers of winter howling outside and I can crank up the oven without anyone complaining that I am heating up the house! It was the perfect day for this Apple Cake.
It is practically a “dump cake” recipe, but you do have to chop the apples (only two!) and beat the eggs and sugar, but that’s it…super easy and it smells fantastic while it bakes.
Why do all my autumn recipes involve cream cheese?! It may be the next best frosting (chocolate of course is first!!)
This dessert is like apple pie but in a cake. Same flavors and the apples are so tender, wrapped in a really moist cake. Throw on a scarf, fire up the oven, and delight in the fun of fall!!
