Treat Tuesday-Pumpkin Harvest Bars

Yes, more pumpkin! The perfect bars if you like just a hint of pumpkin flavor. This is a super easy recipe for such a great treat. It’s literally a dump and stir batter. The trickiest thing is to separate one egg.

This is also another recipe full of wonderful spices, plus the addition of grated orange peel. As you know, I love fresh ingredients and that certainly applies to orange peel. Don’t buy this in a jar. Invest in a microplane and finely grate the amount needed from a freshly washed orange.

The wet ingredients include pumpkin, an egg, one egg white, apple sauce, and some canola oil. These bars are super moist, very cake-like in consistency.

Add the flour and spice mixture to the pumpkin batter.

Mix and then add in one cup of chocolate chips.

Spread the batter into a pan and bake for about 25 minutes.

These are spook-tacular!
