Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce

This is a snap to make and tastes wonderful with turkey. Make this the night before. Don't buy canned, just don't.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz. pkg. fresh cranberries
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple peeled and diced
  • 1 ¾ cups water
  • 1 ¼ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves

Method
 

  1. Pour the cranberries into a strainer. Rinse and discard mushy berries.  
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until thickened and all the cranberries have burst, about 25-30 minutes.
  3. Cool and refrigerate until ready to serve.
