Cranberry-Orange Chutney

This is a family favorite that looks beautiful on the Christmas dining table.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh orange sections
  • ¼ cup fresh orange juice
  • 4 cups cranberries rinsed and checked for stems
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup peeled, chopped Granny Smith apples
  • 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.    Let cool and refrigerate.  
  • Reduce heat to medium low and let simmer 10-15 minutes or until all the berries have burst.
  • Let stand at room temperature one hour before serving.
