I make treats for my kids every Tuesday. The other four school days, I’m a stickler for healthy snacks. On Tuesdays, however a mid-day dessert is waiting when they come home from school. They always walk in the door asking, “What is Treat Tuesday?” and I always keep them guessing by challenging them to identify the treat by smell. The only downside of this tradition is I hear about it if I have a particularly busy Tuesday and don’t get around to making the treat. That rarely happens because I can’t stand the groaning! (OK, and I’m a sucker for their appreciation for TT’s, even into their teen years.) When you see a dessert recipe with a TT next to it, you know it was one of our Tuesday Treats!
