Overnight French Toast
With a little prep the night before, you can have a super easy and quite tasty breakfast. You may have to overlap the bread in the pan, just make sure all slices get the egg mixture.
Ingredients
- 10 slices sourdough bread (a day or two old bread is great)
- ¼ cup butter softened
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Spread butter evenly over the tops of all bread slices.
- Place bread in a 13" x 9" glass baking pan.
- Mix together eggs, milk, syrup, and vanilla. Pour over bread, making sure all pieces are coated.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Place bread slices on a silicone mat on two cookie sheets and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
