Cheese Ball

Cheese Ball

This is one of those "flash from the past" straight from the 1970's recipes!  I can remember my mom making this for her dinner parties and I would try to sneak in a grab a Triscuit and some of this dip.  It is made with dried beef, I'm not exactly sure what that is and I probably don't want to know, but somehow it makes this cheese ball remind me of my childhood.
Plan Ahead Note: The cream cheese needs to be softened to room temperature.
Servings: 24
Course: Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 3 8oz. pkgs. cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 2 jars dried beef diced
  • 2 Tablespoons Accent seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 box Triscuit crackers

Method

  1. Mix softened cream cheese, with 1 ½ jars of dried beef, Accent, and Worcestershire.
  2. Roll into a ball and place remaining diced beef on the ball, gently patting it down so that it sticks to the cheese.
  3. Chill for at least one hour and serve with Triscuit crackers.
