Chocolate Cinnamon Cake
This is a perfect quick cake for snacks or a weeknight dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa sifted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted and cooled
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, sugar, cocoa, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- In a small bowl whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, butter, and vanilla.
- Slowly add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased 8" square baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool completely before serving.
