Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Tacos
This pulled pork recipe is great for quickly tossing a few ingredients into a slow cooker first thing in the morning. When dinnertime rolls around, all you need to do is shred the pork and build your tacos. These are excellent served with a side of guacamole.
Ingredients
- 2 cups store bought salsa
- 2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 2 Tablespoons dried oregano
- 2 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 lb. boneless pork butt or pork shoulder
- 1 dozen corn tortillas
- cilantro chopped
- sour cream
- limes
- shredded cheese
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine salsa, chili powder, oregano, cocoa, and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir to combine.
- Add the pork and turn to coat.
- Cook on high for 5 hours or on low for 8 hours.
- Shred meat with two forks and then return to the slow cooker and toss in the juices. Serve in tortillas with a squeeze of lime juice, a bit of chopped cilantro, shredded cheese and some sour cream.
