Treat Tuesday-Butter Cookies
This is probably one of the easiest cookies you can make during the holidays and they look fabulous on a Christmas platter or in a cookie jar! Sometimes known as thumbprints or jam cookies, my grandmother would make for us and it is one of my favorite cookies.
Start with softened butter and powdered sugar.
Blend until light and fluffy.
Add in the flour and vanilla and blend just until the dough starts to come together.
After a little time in the fridge, roll into balls and using the back of a 1/4 teaspoon make a small indent in the ball. Add your favorite jam into the center of each cookie.
Bake them just until the edges are light brown.
