Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies

I discovered this while on vacation and had to try to replicate this sweet/salty treat in my kitchen. I think I nailed it!
Plan Ahead Note: the butter and eggs need to be brought to room temperature.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup pretel sticks crushed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°.          
  • Stir together flour and baking soda.
  • Beat butter with sugars on medium speed until creamy.
  • Add vanilla and eggs, beating well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips and pretzels.
  • Drop by Tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 9-11 minutes.
