Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies
I discovered this while on vacation and had to try to replicate this sweet/salty treat in my kitchen. I think I nailed it!Plan Ahead Note: the butter and eggs need to be brought to room temperature.
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup pretel sticks crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Stir together flour and baking soda.
- Beat butter with sugars on medium speed until creamy.
- Add vanilla and eggs, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and pretzels.
- Drop by Tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes.
