Chocolate Chip Pretzel Cookies

I discovered this while on vacation and had to try to replicate this sweet/salty treat in my kitchen. I think I nailed it!
Plan Ahead Note: the butter and eggs need to be brought to room temperature.
Servings: 4 dozen cookies
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup pretel sticks crushed

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Stir together flour and baking soda.
  3. Beat butter with sugars on medium speed until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the batter.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and pretzels.
  7. Drop by Tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake for 9-11 minutes.
