Treat Tuesday-Banana-Chocolate Chunk Cupcakes
It’s the month of Cupid! Have you decorated your shoebox to collect your Valentine cards yet?? This is one holiday following Christmas where you can really have a lot of fun in the kitchen. I had a blast making these cupcakes!
The recipe is a wonderfully moist cupcake thanks to ripe, mashed bananas, but I think what puts these over the top is the chocolate chunks. I used the milk chocolate bars from Trader Joes. I am typically a dark chocolate lover, but this particular bar is so smooth and creamy, it’s hard to eat just one square.
The batter whips up in the mixer and turns out these perfect cupcakes.
Now for the fun part…frosting! This is a butter and cream cheese frosting that looks like cotton candy but tastes so much better. It takes no time at all to frost each cupcake and if you don’t eat them all in one sitting, place them in the refrigerate keep them fresh.
Add your favorite candy hearts.
I’m not into the “grocery store heart balloons, pajama gram, sappy love greeting cards”, Valentines…I am into the “treats for my sweets” Valentines!
