Overnight French Toast

With a little prep the night before, you can have a super easy and quite tasty breakfast.  You may have to overlap the bread in the pan, just make sure all slices get the egg mixture.

Ingredients:

10 slices of sourdough bread (a day or two old is great)
1/4 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Spread butter evenly over the tops of all bread slices.

Place bread in a 13″ x 9″ glass baking pan.
Mix together eggs, milk, syrup, and vanilla.  Pour over bread, making sure all pieces are coated.  Cover and chill overnight.
Place bread slices on a silicone mat on two cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
