Warmed Cranberry Brie

This appetizer looks beautiful on a platter for a holiday party and the spices give the cheese a fantastic flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 16oz. round of Brie cheese
  • 1 15oz. can whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tablespoons spiced run
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup chopped and toasted pecans
  • assorted crackers

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 500°.      
  2. Trim rind from top of Brie, leaving a 1/3" border on top.  Place on baking sheet.
  3. Stir together cranberry sauce, brown sugar, rum and nutmeg.
  4. Spread mixture evenly over top of Brie.  Sprinkle evenly with pecans.
  5. Bake at 500° for 5 minutes.  Serve with assorted crackers.
