Chip Cookies

This salty, sweet combination is delicious! I used Lay's Potato Chips in the recipe.
Servings: 4 dozen cookies
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups potato chips crushed
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Cream shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time beating until combined.
  4. Add vanilla and mix well.
  5. Slowly add the flour and baking soda on low speed, just until mixed together.
  6. Stir in potato chips and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a cookie sheet lined with a silicone mat.
  8. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
  9.  Let cool on pan for 5 minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
