Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits
These are super easy and make a great Thanksgiving morning treat with a fruit salad. Serve with honey butter.

Ingredients

all-purpose flour

Tablespoon
baking powder
½
teaspoon
salt

Tablespoon
granulated sugar

cup
shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
⅓
cup
shortening
cut into pieces and chilled
½
cup
milk
4
strips
bacon
cooked and cut into small pieces
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°.
Pulse the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar 4 or 5 times until ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Add shredded cheese and shortening and pulse 4 or 5 times until mixture is crumbly.
With the processor running, gradually add milk, and process until dough forms a ball and leave the sides of the bowl.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; shape into a ball. Fold in the bacon pieces.
Pat or roll dough to 3/4" thickness. Cut into 4" circles and place on a baking sheet.
Bake at 425° for 10 minutes or until golden. Let cool on pan for 3 minutes. Serve warm.
