Hash Brown Casserole
This is an old favorite that I have been making for years. If you need a side dish that feeds a crowd (or starving boys), mix this up and throw it in the oven.
Plan Ahead Note:
the hash browns need to be thawed out slightly.

Ingredients

hash browns
thawed

can
cream of chicken soup

cups
shredded cheddar cheese
2
cups
sour cream

teaspoon
salt
¼
teaspoon
pepper
½
cup
butter
melted
Topping
2
cups
cornflake cereal
¼
cup
butter
melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°.
Mix hash browns, soup, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper, and ½ cup melted butter in a large bowl. Pour into a 13" x 9" pan.
Topping
Combine cornflake cereal and remaining melted butter. Pour over casserole.
Bake at 400° for one hour. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
