I have a few favorite Gingerbread recipes. I love this one because of all the spices!

granulated sugar

unsalted butter
softened

molasses

egg

all-purpose flour

teaspoon
ground ginger

teaspoon
baking soda

teaspoon
freshly ground nutmeg
⅛
teaspoon
salt
⅛
teaspoon
ground cloves
⅔
cup
milk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Beat granulated sugar and butter at medium speed of an electric mixer for 5 minutes.
Add molasses and egg, beating well.
Combine flour, ginger, baking soda, nutmeg, salt, and cloves in a bowl. Add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Pour into an 8" greased square baking dish. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes. Cool.
