Sausage Balls - Cooking with Tami

Sausage Balls

My mom would make these sausage balls for an appetizer every time company came over.   Mix these in a heavy duty electric mixer using the dough hook to get everything combined.  If you don't eat them all, just pop the leftovers in a freezer bag.  The sausage balls can quickly be reheated.
Servings: 50 balls
Course: Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Bisquick
  • 1 lb. bulk hot sausage (I use Jimmy Deans or Owens)
  • 1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese grated

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
  2. Add all ingredients to a large mixer and blend at medium speed until a soft ball is formed.
  3. Roll into small balls and bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 400° for 10 minutes or until the tops are brown and slightly crispy.
