Cheese Fingers

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 16 Italian bread slices
  • 16 provolone cheese slices
  • jar of marinara sauce

Method
 

  1. Stir together butter and Parmesan cheese.        
  2. Spread on 1 side of each bread slice.
  3. Place 8 bread slices, buttered side down, on wax paper.
  4. Layer the bread with 2 provolone cheese slices and top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  5. Cook sandwiches in batches on a non-stick skillet over medium heat, gently pressing with a spatula for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese melts.
  6. Cut each sandwich in fourths, and serve with warmed marinara sauce.
