Treat Tuesday-Mocha Coffee Bars

If you like the flavor of coffee in your desserts, these bars are the treat you need to make. Putting chocolate chips on top gives them a wonderful mocha taste. It’s like your favorite coffee shop mocha latte served up on a plate with a fork!

The recipe is pretty simple. Start by beating three eggs.

Next add in sugar, then butter and vanilla, beating well.

Flour is stirred in and the batter comes together beautifully.

One and a half cups of batter is placed into a smaller bowl.

Mix the espresso with the cream, whisking well. This smells so good!

Add to the remaining batter, mixing well and spread into the baking dish.

Now take the batter that was set aside and drop spoonfuls onto the espresso batter.

Taking a knife, slowly begin to swirl the batters together creating a marble effect while also insuring that the batter is evenly distributed.

Bake until lightly browned.

While the bars are still warm, sprinkle the chocolate chips on the top and as they begin to melt, spread them gently with a knife to cover the bars.

Let cool completely before cutting…if you can wait…
