This pasta sauce is great with Baked Ziti or over your favorite pasta.
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon olive oil
2-28oz. cans Italian plum tomatoes with basil, chopped in the food processor
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 Tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
2 bay leaves
Place onion in a dutch oven over medium heat with olive oil and cook until onions are translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add tomatoes, lemons juice, Italian seasoning, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cooking for 30 minutes. Discard bay leaves and serve sauce over pasta.
