Chip Cookies

Chip Cookies

This salty, sweet combination is delicious! I used Lay's Potato Chips in the recipe.

Servings 4 dozen cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups potato chips crushed
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Cream shortening, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer.          
  • Add eggs, one at a time beating until combined.
  • Add vanilla and mix well.
  • Slowly add the flour and baking soda on low speed, just until mixed together.
  • Stir in potato chips and chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a cookie sheet lined with a silicone mat.
  • Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
  •  Let cool on pan for 5 minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
