These are best with a touch of jam or honey.  Make sure your butter is extremely cold and do not knead the dough more than 5 times.


2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter, cubed and placed in fridge
1 cup whipping cream
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Using a pastry blender or fork, cut in the cold butter until crumbly.

Add whipping cream and stir with a silicone spoon just until moistened.
Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead it 5 times.
Roll dough out into 1/2″ thickness and using a round cutter, cut 12 scones.
Place on a silicone mat on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
