Avocado Cilantro Grilled Steak

This is perfect for summer.  It is quick to make and cooking the steak on the grill keeps the kitchen from heating up.


2 lb. Top Round Steak
1 lime, halved
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 Tablespoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 ripe avocado, cubed
1 cup salsa verde
3 Tablespoons chopped cilantro

Put steak in a baking dish.  Squeeze half of lime over one side as well as one minced garlic clove.  In a small bowl combine, cumin, pepper, and salt.  Rub half of the spice mixture over one side.  Flip steaks and squeeze and other half of lime, garlic, and rub onto meat.    Grill steaks over medium heat for 6-8 minutes a side for medium rare.  Remove steaks from grill and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.  In a medium bowl, mix avocado, salsa, and cilantro.  Serve over steak slices.
